Choose the best time to visit Paris
The best time to visit Paris depends on whether you’re planning a weekend trip or a longer vacation. Spring and fall offer ideal conditions for both relaxation and sightseeing without the crowds.
The summer season in Paris is lively and full of energy, with many outdoor events and long bright days. However, it’s also peak tourist season, which can mean more people and higher prices.
Spring in Paris
Spring, especially from March to May, is considered by many to be the ideal time to visit Paris. The city comes alive as the flowers bloom and the trees along the Seine turn green. Temperatures are mild and you can enjoy the city’s many parks and gardens, such as the Jardin des Tuileries and Jardin du Luxembourg. In addition, tourist numbers are not yet at their peak, making it easier to visit popular attractions like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre without long queues.
Summer in Paris
Summer, from June to August, is also popular with tourists. This is when Paris is at its liveliest and the city offers an abundance of outdoor events such as Paris Plages, where parts of the Seine are transformed into boardwalks. However, it can also be the busiest and hottest time of year, so you may need to plan ahead to avoid the biggest crowds and hot days.
Autumn in Paris
Autumn, from September to November, brings with it a romantic atmosphere. The temperatures are still pleasant and the colors of the city’s many trees change to golden tones. This is also the high season for fashion lovers as Paris Fashion Week takes place.
Winter & Christmas in Paris
Winter, especially around December, is a magical time to experience Paris with Christmas lights, markets and that special Parisian charm. However, it can be cold and some outdoor activities are limited.

In short, Paris can be visited all year round, but spring and fall stand out as the most pleasant periods.
